Parking sensor systems feature sensitive elements, installed in the rear part of the vehicle, that signal to the driver when approaching an object during maneuvering or parking. Nowadays, many modern cars come from the factory with installed systems and the use of the factory sensors is the best option, so let's look at some important points in their selection.

How to choose the right sensor?

Eventually comes the moment when, for one reason or another, one of the sensors of the system fails and it must be immediately replaced with a new one to continue the safe maneuvering in conditions of poor visibility.

First, however, you must choose the correct component, consistent with the model of the vehicle. In this regard you have two options. The first is to make a reference in the store you bought the car, to replace it and submit it to the seller.The best option, however, is to visit our e-shop AutoPro.bg and buy a new one, which you can find very easily because we have labeled all sensors in advance.

Sensor types

Currently, there are three types of sensors on the market:

Infrared;
Electromagnetic;
Ultrasound.

We do not recommend the use of the first type, because they often do not react in presence of water and other contaminants, which would lead to incorrect counting and, hence, to the appearance of undesirable situations.

The most commonly used are the ultrasound elements, which are characterized by the emission of a specific ultrasound beam with a range of 1.5 to 2 m. When an object enters within this range, the beam is reflected back into the device and it responds by sending signals to the driver. Another useful feature is that these modules are 'able' to calculate the distance and show you exactly how many centimeters away is the obstacle. As the car gets closer to it, the signal becomes more common.
